To contribute to a (hopefully) massive demonstration that will get the attention of our elected officials and the media. A demonstration or rally does little if it is not sufficiently large to draw attention to the message. Taking place on a weekday with Congress in session has that potential to be heard. If the massive gathering would then engage in massive, non-violent civil disobedience then that would significantly increase the power of the message.
