Affinity Groups

Here are descriptions of some of the Affinity Groups that will be in Freedom Plaza. You can contact them now if you are interested in joining or you can join them when you arrive in the Plaza.

1. Green Party/10 Key Values - seeking participation from single or multiple issue advocates who embrace the Green Party's 10 key values of social justice, community-based economics, nonviolence, decentralization, future focus/sustainability, feminism,personal and global responsibility, respect for diversity, grassroots democracy and ecological wisdom to assemble, network, share and distribute literature. 2. Saratoga Peace Alliance affinity group - We are working on an official affinity group name, some ideas are Serenity, Beings for Peace, and Peace Mongers. Most of us know each other for many years being active in our local Peace Alliance. We have about a dozen of us planning to be at Freedom Plaza. We are focused on building peaceful community through dialogue and action, being more pro peace than anti war.  We are not open to having new members  join our group because we have been building trust within our group for a long time.
